Attendees of the 2005 River Rock Gala event had the opportunity to participate in a silent auction of unique experiences. Some Enchanted Evening with Barbara Streisand

The Grammy's

Cory Fuhr's Piano
The top bidder is now the proud owner of the exquisite centerpiece of artist Cory Fuhr's exhibition "Classical Fusion". Fuhr pays homage to the instrument that has made an immeasurable contribution to cultural history. Setting his steel Piano on a pedestal, he persuades the viewer to admire the sculptural form of the icon, in silence. The Piano's elegant form houses a complex heart of tightened strings along braces and struts. Fuhr is fascinated with the engineering feats of humankind and this is reflected in his choice of materials. However, he questions the price of progress when it shadows our past achievements, and chooses his subjects to remind us of our rich history.
